You’re never too old to do something amazing – and it’s never too late to start trying.
And, after carding his second hole-in-one in exactly a year on the same hole during the same competition, 75-year-old golfer Frank Turley is testament to this.
The Worcester local, who plays off 15, scored his first ace on the 182-yard, par-three sixth at his club, Worcester, and then, a year later, went on to replicate the feat during the same monthly medal competition.
He said: “I’ve been a member of Worcester Golf & Country Club since the late seventies, and, although I’ve had some close encounters, until last year, I’d never managed a hole-in-one on my home course.
“To achieve another hole-in-one on the same day during the same competition is certainly déjà vu – it mirrored my previous one, with the only difference being I used a six-iron this time, rather than my three-wood.”
