Hole In One

After much deliberation a five iron was selected as there was a slight head wind and the flag position looked to be slightly forward of the green centre. The strike was clean and the ball appeared to be directly on line for the flag. It pitched onto the front of the green and, as indicated by the pitch mark afterwards, rolled out for 5 about metres in to the hole. Although surprised by the disappearance of the ball, the amazement of Peter's 3 playing partners was even more pronounced. Despite this reaction, Peter played it cool by announcing the fact that he was not surprised as he had achieved a hole in one on a previous occasion.
