Hole In One
Steven Thomas McGhie
Playing on a Saturday morning with a stiff breeze from the North West I used a no.4 rescue (22 deg loft) and a Callaway golf ball on the par 3 fourteenth hole. Keeping the ball low into the wind the shot landed on the front fringe of the green and bounced over the slight rise at the front of the green onto the putting surface but in line with the flag stick. The ball could not be observed going into the hole due the undulation at the front of the green. It was not until my playing partners and I arrived at the green that the ball was discovered in the hole!! It was the first place we looked since both of their golf balls were visible on the course following their tee shots!!
