Hole In One
Stephen Philip Nixon
I hit a 4 iron off the tee which felt good as soon as I struck the ball. My playing partners, the club captain and Vice President, congratulated me on a sweet strike and promptly turned to attend to their bags in preparation to walk towards our balls. I continued to watch my ball as it landed just short of the green and rolled closer to the flag. “It’s gone in” I cried out, to which my playing partners replied “ in where?”. “The hole” I exclaimed. What a great feeling to actually see your ball disappear into the hole! Still dreaming about it.
