Hole In One
Michael Edward Nicholas
I was playing in our senior's June Medal from the white tees. I third to play on the 8th hole, normally I would use an 8 iron as this hole has a hill going downwards to the green, there is a flat area which normally stops the ball from going onto the green. I decided that I try out a new recently purchased Slazenger graphite shafted no 7 iron. The ball went high into the air and bounced off the hill. Meanwhile my two playing partners had walked from the tee. As I watched I saw a small white flash at the side of the hole. I said to my partners "I think that went into the hole". The answers from my partners was very derogatory. Not until I got to the hole did I confirm my first hole in one. A wonderful feeling but very expensive.
