Hole In One
Alan John Whitfield
Playing in the Bryans Trophy Ist Round Club Competition I played a Number 5 -25 degree rescue club which disappeared over the bunker hiding the pin and jokingly my partners said it had gone in. When I reached the green I looked for the ball which I could not see because infact it had gone in the hole. I have been a member of Middlesbrough Golf Club for over 50 Years and it was My first hole in one. It was also the Queens Diamond Jubilee Weekend and in a Club Competition. I suppose you could say it was worth waiting for after such a long time but could not have picked a more fitting occasion to have my first hole in one. I believe I was off 7 Handicap at the time.
